Ways to fundraise!

  • Method 1: Social media / email / text.

    1. Write a post such as…


      On International Skinny Dip Day… [Lupin Lodge] celebrates body positivity… and raises money to cure women suffering from one of the most horrific forms of body shame on earth.

      Please join us, [Lupin Lodge], in raising money for Fistula Foundation. Every donation adds up. Thank you for your support!

       

    2. And… link to the fundraiser!

      …if you have your own “team” on the fundraise page… instead use your team’s link — which you can get by simply clicking on your team’s name on the main page. (If you want a team, sign up here.)

  • Method 2: In-person

    Basics:

    • Print/have on hand… this 2-pager… from Fistula Foundation.

    • Print/have on hand… a QR code to the fundraiser. People can scan this code to jump straight to donating. (*If you have a “team” on the fundraise page, please use your team’s link to generate your QR code.)

    • You may also wish to have a donation jar for any cash donations (which you can later transfer to your team’s fundraise page via credit card).

    • Keep in mind… a one-liner… for basic questions about the cause — such as: “Fistula Foundation cures women from birth trauma and body shame. (For more info see this 2-pager.)”

Options:

    • donating % of entrance fees /
      mandatory donation at entrance


      Note: ‘suggested donation‘ is an alternative to a ‘mandatory donation’



    • what skills are present? provide services or items… for donations (or included for the mandatory donation entry).


      EXAMPLE: body painting and more, for donations (Gunnison, 2022 and 2023)



    • raffle for prizes (such as your own abilities/skills; or items from the Skinny Dip shop, purchased ahead of time).


      EXAMPLE: (Lupin Lodge, 2022)



    • any game/tournament (cornhole, horseshoes, etc) — with a donation fee to play; and a prize for the winner, such as Skinny Dip Day mugs or tote bags from our shop (purchase ahead of time!)


      EXAMPLE: (Indiana Naturists, 2022)
      “Saturday Night: $10 buy in Molkky Tournament fundraiser. All proceeds go to Fistula Foundation”



    • Special deals to encourage donations (free food; half off entrance fee; activities; etc)



    • Donating % of food sales / etc



    • 50/50 (consider checking local regulations 1st)

  • Other ideas:

    • matching donations

      • Sample phrasing:

        “Indiana Naturists will be matching the first $200 in donations from our members. You can donate on skinny dip day or prior to, if you wish. Last year skinny dip day raised over $5000 for Fistula Foundation globally. Our club goal is $400.”

    • Skinny Dipper Bingo

      • fun game which is not necessarily used directly for fundraising, but which encourages people to meet one another at your event 🙂

      • See sample bingo board below. – You can make your own version with this free website (and then I also added a little text at the bottom).

      • Give everyone a board and a pen.

      • Prizes for rows / columns / diagonals that we have done at Gunnison Beach: skinnydipped almonds and stickers from our shop; and the 1st 2 people to get completed boards also got grand prizes, which were mugs and tote bags from our shop.
